Mesh <> Jira Integration enables you and your manager to be up-to-date on all the tasks and issues created in Jira.
Integrating Mesh with Jira allows employees to stay on top of all their deliverables and progress with Jira. Any update made to goals on Jira gets automatically reflected on the Mesh dashboard, from where, a manager can not only keep a track of the progress of these goals but also share timely and relevant feedback right from their Mesh dashboards, in real-time.
Now, to begin with the integration, follow the below steps.
Step 1: Go to your Mesh dashboard settings under “Me”. From the left-sided panel, go to Plugins << Jira. Click on “Get”.
Step 2: You’ll be redirected to Atlassian’s (Jira’s parent company) marketplace page for Mesh. Click on “Get it now”. (You must be logged in to Jira to enable this)
Step 3: Once done, head back to your Jira plugin page on your Mesh account. Fill in a Connection Name (your company’s unique Atlassian URL) and your company’s URL to finalize the installation process.
Step 4: Enable both “Issues sync” and “Goal tracking” on the same screen.
Step 5: Go to your Mesh dashboard homepage and on the Mesh list (right-side panel), click on goals. (You should have already set up some goals to fetch their progress from Jira)
Step 6: Click on any of your goals to expand it. Then scroll down to “Tracking” and select “Jira” from the drop-down.
Step 7: In the next screen, fill in the name of your goal (could be anything) and in the dropdown, select from a list of predefined or custom (through Jira Query Language) queries on how you wish to measure your goals.
Step 8: Once done, any update to the progress of your tasks on Jira, will get reflected on your Mesh dashboard, for the said tasks.
